Redspot Artists
Jonathan Sainsbury is a member of Redspot Artists. This group of leading British wildlife and sporting artists, founded in 2002,  is a group of like-minded and successful wildlife artists who have a collective passion for wildlife, the countryside and conservation. They work in a wide range of mediums – delicate watercolours, bold oils, detailed scraper board or beaten meal sculptures.  The group includes Ben Hoskyns,  Sam MacDonald, Roger McPhail, Jonathan Sainsbury, Tania Still, Jason Sweeney, Keith Sykes and Owen Williams.  They have regularly exhibited together at the CLA Game Fair and in other venues.  Their works are sold and collected worldwide and reproduced in dozens of books.

Redspot is hosting an inaugural London Autumn Exhibition ‘Walk on the Wildside’ open to the public 11th – 13th October 2017, at All Hallows-on-the-Wall, in the City of London.  This is in association with XLP, a cutting-edge charity working in urban young work.

Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA)
Jonathan has frequently exhibited in The Natural Eye, the annual exhibition of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA), held at the Mall Galleries, London.  Several of Jonathan’s Square Series paintings have been exhibited in this annual exhibition before going on to other venues.  To see Jonathan’s Square Series, click here

Society of Animal Artists
While Birds in Art celebrates art on the subject of birds, the annual show of the Society of Animal Artists, ‘Art and the Animal’ is open to entries showing all kinds of creatures, feather, fur or fin.  Jonathan was elected a Signature Member of the Society and his work has been selected for this distinguished show many times.  Each year the premiere of the show is hosted by a North American museum, with a programme of events over a weekend that brings artists together from all round the world.  The collection then tours round a selection of quality museums over the coming year.  To see Jonathan’s entry for 2016, click here

Contemporary Art Galleries
Jonathan exhibits in a select number of leading contemporary art galleries in the United Kingdom, including the Wykeham Gallery, Stockbridge, Hampshire, the Brian Sinfield Gallery, Burford,  Frames Gallery, Perth, which specialises in contemporary Scottish art and in the Strathearn Gallery in Crieff.  To see work currently at the Wykeham Gallery click here
